Your Role
As a Customs Business Process Specialist, you will be responsible for enhancing the efficiency and compliance of national customs operations. In this role, you’ll focus on process optimization, digital integration, and collaboration across departments. You’ll also act as a key contact for technology-driven improvements and regulatory alignment—ensuring our customs procedures meet the highest standards of performance and compliance.
Your Responsibilities
Analyze and optimize national customs business processes for efficiency and compliance
Lead process-related projects, collaborating with sales, IT, and customs operations
Design and implement standardized procedures across the customs organization
Support and guide operational teams toward meeting productivity goals
Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations
Act as a Cargowise Super User, enhancing digital process integration and automation
Develop and deliver training sessions to promote a culture of compliance and improvement
Monitor KPIs and provide reports on customs process performance and improvements
Your Skills and Experiences
Proven experience in customs operations with a strong focus on IT expertise
Strong knowledge of domestic and international customs regulations
Project management experience, ideally in a logistics or customs environment
Experience with Cargowise, Streamliner or similar customs management software
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical skills with a focus on process optimization and compliance
Fluent in English and Dutch; additional languages are a plus
Willingness to travel for business and hold a valid driver’s license
