Actalent Project Manager - EHS / Safety in Arlington, Virginia

Description:

This Project Manager will be the leader in charge for all Safety and EHS efforts when it comes to the Filler Line 3 Upgrade within the facility. Line 3 is the heart of all production that has 5 other production lines feed into it, which makes this a very high level project for the facility.

They are in the process of completely taking apart line 3, demolishing the walls surrounding it, taking out the flooring, and also redoing the conduit hook ups, and then rebuilding the area and new line with new equipment.

This person will be in charge of :

  • This person look after the Construction management and construction venders tied to demolition and rebuild, safety requirements and permits.

  • Will do safety trainings and demonstrations with every single contractor / sub contractor / vender they use

  • Look through safety processes and if there are safety issues, perform root cause, figure out how do we fix that safety issue, implement change in safety process

  • 50-70% on the floor monitoring that everyone on project is adhering to safety protocols

  • 30-50% Meetings, Trainings, Permitting

  • Watch dog for the contractors, giving the feedback to contractors to follow safety processes. Has ability to stop project if not safe, and go and get the CPMO’s (not someone that will send people home)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Have:

  1. Associates Degree Minimum

  2. 5+ years of building/line demolition and rebuild, routing conduits, production line hookups to rest of manufacturing, (industrial project safety experience, not residential projects)

  3. OSHA 30 Minimum with Hazwoper experience or CSP (certified safety professional or equivalent experience

  4. Food & Beverage or Pharmaceutical industry experience with the understanding of GMP impacts tied to internal projects safety protocols

  5. Electronic Permitting system experience (majority of permits will be digital over phone and computer)

  6. PowerPoint and Excel proficient

  7. Vocal leader - not afraid to speak up and address safety issues amongst engineers, manufacturing, and vendered contractors
