The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. The Open Source Integration team will focus on ensuring that AWS Generative AI services are represented in the OSS frameworks and code samples (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.). The team will partner with the DevRel communicate this integration and with the service-aligned Specialist SA teams to influence the roadmap, and to develop internal training teaching broader SA population architectural best practices for integrating OSS components and AWS services when building Generative AI applications. Team’s deliverables will include: OSS code, public-facing demos, samples, videos, and presentations at AWS as well as third party conferences, and internally-facing training materials. The team has a global remit.

Key job responsibilities

  • Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.

  • Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.

  • Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.

  • Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.

  • Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • 2+ years management of technical, customer facing resources

  • 2+ years of AI/ML or related experience

  • Coding skills and proven track record of contributing code to the AI/ML or related OSS projects

  • Computer Science or similar degree, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises

  • Familiarity with common enterprise services

  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

  • AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
