Job Description:

UPS is seeking a forward-looking digital marketer who is energized by solving new communications challenges with data and customer insight. A key role on the UPS Digital Marketing team, the Digital Marketing Supervisor is responsible for advancing digital marketing campaign strategies with an emphasis on domestic and international email campaigns. They will lead the development, execution, analysis, optimization, and reporting for campaigns of moderate to high complexity. Digital campaigns are designed to engage customers at specific stages of their customer lifecycle journey by positively impacting their UPS experience and will contribute to performance results including incremental revenue.

Utilizing data and insights & input from business stakeholders, the Digital Marketing Supervisor will strategize, develop campaign requirements, develop content, optimize plans. They will have a digital-first mindset with an appetite for data and creative storytelling. They will be responsible for reporting and optimizing against results – both business and campaign performance – to key marketing stakeholders. We are seeking a strong collaborator, who excels at both communication and project management.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Creates the strategy, leads campaign execution and manages performance of digital email campaigns.

  • Develops content objectives and authors and/or provides guidance for campaign content and creative.

  • Creates project plans and program milestones, documenting dependencies, and proactively addressing any potential issues.

  • Collaborates cross-functionally to execute, measure, and optimize communications strategies and tactics.

  • Develops presentations, insights, recommendations, and results for senior leadership socialization.

  • Provides post-campaign evaluation of effectiveness and makes recommendations for future optimization.

  • Manages projects within budget parameters to ensure scope does not exceed plan.

  • Provides weekly reporting of ongoing activity, including program highlights, new campaign activations and performance outcomes.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital media, communication channels and campaign planning.

  • Data analytics skillset and mindset with the ability to leverage marketing technology tools to develop reports and highlight key learnings to drive optimizations, channel, and partner recommendations.

  • Creative storytelling aptitude with the ability to craft communications that will connect with customers.

  • Customer lifecycle experience and able to leverage customer journey mapping or customer lifecycle management to effectively achieve business goals.

  • Strong project management experience. Able to develop timing plans and leverage workflow tools to manage the completion of deliverables and maintain budget parameters.

  • Ability to identify root causes of issues within campaigns, pivot and recommend adjustments to move the program forward.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Digital Communications, Digital Marketing, or related discipline - Preferred

  • Knowledge and experience using marketing technology such as marketing automation, web analytics, SEM tools and data management platforms - Preferred.

  • 1-3 years' experience in Marketing Automation using tools such as Marketo, Eloqua, ExactTarget/Pardot, Constant Contact, HubSpot, etc. - Strongly Preferred
