Grady!SUMMARY The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an Advanced Practice
Registered Nurse who has graduated from a NP program of graduate
studies, who has acquired advanced, specialized clinical knowledge and
skills to provide health care. The NP performs comprehensive
assessments, diagnoses, orders, conducts, supervises and interprets
diagnostic and laboratory test, prescribes pharmacologic and
non-pharmacologic treatments in the direct management of acute and
chronic illness and disease. The NP promotes health and the prevention
of illness and injury. The NP practices autonomously and in
collaboration with other health care professional to treat and manage
patient health problems. The roles of the NP includes, direct
patient/family care, consultation, research, patient/families/ groups/
and communities advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership &

Physician Assistant under the direction of the supervising Physician, is
responsible for providing age specific, culturally and ethnically
sensitive clinical evaluations, problem assessments, initiation of
diagnostic and treatment plans, and educates patients presenting for
care. Performs emergency intervention and patient triage. Complies with
all rules and regulations of the appropriate licensing board and
maintains continuing medical education. By the end of the first year,
employee requires M.D. consultation less than 40% of time on Patient
Management activities. The job also includes patient advocacy, teaching,
performance improvement, leadership and professional development and
other duties assigned by supervising physician, as outlined by the
Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.QUALIFICATIONSCurrent
