The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of the project, while learning and applying best practices and processes to keep projects on track and ensure successful outcomes. The PM will manage deadlines, budgets, and resources while providing guidance to project team members to ensure the successful execution of deliverables and ultimately, business satisfaction.
Project Management 75%
Develop and manage project plans and project progress tracking that may include requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment
Proactively identify and address roadblocks to effective project management, keeping all parties informed regularly and appropriately
Lead detailed project cost/budget management, scheduling and planning, risk management, and resource availability
Ensure all project components are appropriately tested and validated prior to deployment
Manage projects following project management best practices
Maintain and update project documents, managing version control and storage of documents
Maintain and review project budgets, responding promptly to any changes in project scope
Oversee post-project and post-implementation handover
Understand the project risks, impact on business outcomes, and competent escalating issues to achieve resolution
Communication 15%
Track and report status, project milestones, ensuring accuracy and reliability to business partners, stakeholders, IT leaders, & portfolio managers
Develop and implement effective communication plans to ensure stakeholders and team members remain informed, receive timely updates, and understand requirements
Business & Vendor Partnership 10%
Engage with vendors, external consultants as the project activity demands
Interact with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal team members to define project requirements and address any issues that arise during project delivery.

Understanding of financial management principles as it relates to project management, delivery of a business case, and ability to track project costs
Develops communication strategies and plans to ensure organizational awareness and adoption of end state
Able to manage multiple tasks at once, recognizing interdependencies & prioritizing appropriately
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
2-4 years managing projects; strong understanding of IT projects is preferred
Extensive experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies and the use of project management tools & techniques, resource management practices, & change management processes
Ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting requirements
Good organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
Solid communication skills (written, presentation, meeting management, or documentation).
Experience with identifying and managing risks
Hands-on experience with project management and development processes
Understanding and experience working with project specifications and documentation
Understanding of MS Office Suite and MS Project applications
Experience using project management and agile tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or ServiceNow.
PMP certification or other related project management certification
Ability to work with complex projects with multiple components
Understanding of IT budgets and cost control methods
Understanding interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
Ability to drive project delivery to meet stakeholder objectives while maintaining project delivery quality
Self-motivated and comfort working in a self-managed role
