Job Description Summary: Reporting to the CMO for PayPal, the Senior Director of Media is responsible for oversight of the paid media budget and accountable for delivering and growing return on ad spend from this marketing investment. This role will lead media planning, media experimentation, media delivery and media optimization for the Marketing Team. This leader will lead a small team of passionate media experts and will own the engagement with our Global Media Agency of record in addition to being the lynchpin in our operating model, creating best in class partnerships and connectivity between our marketers and our partners across analytics, finance, product and technology. For a marketing professional, this is a once in a lifetime career opportunity to explore the potential impact that your chosen craft can have in changing the dynamics of a customer champion business Key Responsibilities * Responsible for delivering the paid media program and driving continuous improvement in ROAS * Accountable for delivering media plans and results against the goals and priorities laid out in the Segment Marketing Plan. Drive accountability and partnering mindset with the Media Team to deliver on the goals of each individual Segment and provide the reporting and cadences to optimize this partnership. * Lead the commercial partnership with the Global Agency of Record. Create accountabilities, build cadences, create operational excellence to drive more impact and efficiency of media spend through this partnership. * Drive a test and learn mindset and experimentation culture with the media team and partners. Develop new ways of working that map to a test, learn and scale agile model. * Lead the Media Team through outstanding leadership and strong management against OKRs. Create a learning and feedback culture, build development and growth plans with each team member. * Provide thought leadership and innovation roadmap for media capabilities, ad-tech, media measurement, platform experimentation and media channels.
