Duties:
- Maintain a steady workflow for MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Technicians first, then other technicians.
- Work with MRI Supervisor, Technologist, Scheduling, and Operations Manager to ensure all support functions are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Observe HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) rules and regulations and always maintain compliance.
- Promptly greet and establish initial rapport, and lasting, positive impression on each patient.
- Maintain appropriate clinical knowledge about exams and procedures to ensure that scheduling and other job functions are handled appropriately.
- Perform other general office tasks such as maintenance of office supplies and equipment, and any other task that may arise.
- Make suggestions to Team Lead regarding processes, to find increasingly efficient ways to perform tasks and works with management to improve areas as needed.
- Keep patients informed of extended delays.
- Keep workplace neat and clean.
- Clean and straighten any area that needs attention.
- Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
- Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
- Input IV's (intravenous therapy) for patients needing IV contrast.
- Take patient to the MRI, CT (Computed Tomography) room for patient positioning.
- Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments or materials or performing such tasks as giving injections.
- Greet and log in patients arriving at office or clinic.
- Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms.
- Schedule appointments for patients.
- Inventory and order medical, lab, or office supplies or equipment.
- Operate X-Ray, Electrocardiogram (EKG), or other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests.
- Learn and abide by Bridgeway Diagnostics rules, procedures, and protocols.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
