HP Inc. WW Print HW Demand Planner and Reporting Specialist in Barcelona, Spain

In this position within Print Category Operations, you will be part of the WW Printing Hardware Demand Planning team. In this position, you’ll have two main responsibilities:

  • As Print HW Demand Planner, you’ll hold a WW responsibility and work closely with the other Demand Planners to support Home Print HW (Ink) and Office Print HW (Laser) businesses, with all 8 markets, with the Demand Forecasters, with Supply Chain and with WW Supply Planning teams. The Category Operations Demand Planners are responsible for the demand-related part of the planning process, which starts from the monthly demand forecast (PMF) generated by the demand forecasters and ends by submitting a weekly shipment plan (e.g., demand signal).

  • As a reporting specialist, you’ll work closely with the rest of the colleagues and the WW Print HW Demand Manager to maintain and enhance existing reports, and to design and develop new ones. Also, you’ll be responsible for analyzing the data in those reports and making recommendations on areas to improve or alerting on deviations to the goals set.

In this role you’ll be part of a very dynamic team, with individuals located all around the world with a vast experience in demand management.

The WW Print HW Demand Planner and Reporting Specialist applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice to make decisions on complex business issues.

The main responsibilities are (but not limited):

  • Demand Flow control in IBP Sinai and Rainier

  • Maintenance of Master Data

  • Correcting fallouts

  • Ad-hoc issue analysis and cooperation with BSE / IT on a workaround / quick fix

  • Close cooperation with Demand Forecasters

  • Providing data-driven inputs

  • Setting up planning parameters to best serve the forecast strategy

  • Ad-hoc weekly demand profiling to meet marketing goals

  • Help with troubleshooting in IBP Sinai Forecast area

  • Providing visibility of demand C2C changes to Supply and Response planning teams by generating a commented report prior to a planning cycle

  • Consulting with Demand Forecasters for the changes introduced in monthly and mid-cycles

  • Making sure C2C changes in the demand signal are in line with changes in the forecast, understanding the reasons for the gaps between the two

  • Helping Global Supply Planners understand differences between C2C changes in the demand signal on one hand, and C2C changes in the factory plan (NRP/POR) on the other

  • Participation in planning-related transformation projects as Subject Matter Expert, adding creative insights, developing recommendations, testing, and validating business requirements on his/her area of expertise

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and leads/develops recommendations and provides insight for management.

  • Independently executes complex demand and supply matching activities, connecting planning to execution, and identifying issues and their impact.

  • Reporting Specialist:

  • Maintaining and enhancing existing reports

  • Designing and developing new reports

  • Analyzing the data in those reports and making recommendations on areas to improve or alerting on deviations to the goals set.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience (advanced university degree preferred).

  • Graduate in Business Administration or Marketing, as well as Engineering with solid business knowledge preferred.

  • Typically, 4+ years of experience in category operations or in supply chain.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong, analytical skills.

  • Good communication skills in English and local language.

  • Ability to work both in a structured and dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated drive and enthusiasm, track record for getting things done.

  • Good internal and external relationship management skills.

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business problems using Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), statistical analysis, and financial modeling.

  • Good project management skills, with proven capability to work in cross functional teams in multiple geographies.

  • Understanding of HP’s consumer RTM business and distribution models will be considered a plus.

  • Experience in working with SAP modules on planning and forecasting will be considered a plus.

  • Understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver) will be considered a plus.
