Waste Connections Rolloff Driver in Bellevue, Nebraska

We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Rolloff Driver to join our team at Papillion Sanitation in Omaha, NE . As a Rolloff Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck and transporting waste materials to designated disposal sites. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.

Pay Range: $23 - $24 per hour + $10,000 Stay on Bonus!

Schedule: Monday - Friday, every other Saturday | 5:30am - Route Complete

Job Requirements:

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record

  • Experience as a Rolloff Driver or in a similar role preferred

  • Ability to operate a heavy-duty truck and handle various waste materials

  • Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations

  • Excellent driving skills and the ability to maneuver large vehicles in tight spaces

  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy waste containers

  • Strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow established safety procedures

  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to transport waste materials to designated disposal sites

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safe operation

  • Secure waste containers properly on the truck to prevent spills or accidents during transportation

  • Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery and pick-up of waste materials

  • Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules

  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner

  • Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, other drivers, and pedestrians

  • Follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary

  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents

  • Report any mechanical issues or vehicle malfunctions to the appropriate personnel for repairs
