Job Title: Truck Upfitting Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced mechanic to lead and install new equipment onto new vocational, refuse, and service trucks. The role involves performing preventive maintenance work on lift kits, snow plows, trucks, roll-off dumpsters, and similar equipment. A significant portion of the work will involve hydraulics, as well as wiring trucks and running controls into cabs. Additional duties include body swaps, wheelbase adjustments, and some custom fabrication/welding. The electrical work will be up to 12 volts.
Responsibilities
Lead installation of new equipment on vocational, refuse, and service trucks
Perform preventive maintenance on lift kits, snow plows, trucks, and roll-off dumpsters
Work extensively with hydraulics for snow plows and roll-off dumpsters
Wire trucks and run controls into cabs
Conduct body swaps and wheelbase adjustments
Perform custom fabrication and welding as needed
Carry out electrical work up to 12 volts
Essential Skills
2-5 years' experience as a mechanic on larger equipment/trucks
Experience in hydraulic repair and maintenance
Ability to troubleshoot and repair brakes, diesel engines, and electrical systems
Proficiency in welding and custom fabrication
Must own basic hand tools

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $66560.00/yr.
