Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Project Accountant to join our team in Bothell, Washington. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of project financials while supporting various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to managing financial data and collaborating with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Reconcile project transactions across various systems to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Review and verify proper accounting codes within the organization's financial systems.
• Assist with period-end close activities, specifically related to project financials.
• Perform reviews and reconciliations for accounts payable and receivable tied to projects.
• Collaborate with the supply chain team to track procurement activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Calculate and record accruals for material and labor costs in coordination with relevant teams.
• Prepare and maintain detailed cost worksheets and monthly program reviews to track financial performance.
• Analyze and resolve project-related financial discrepancies by investigating account details.
• Document financial actions and maintain accurate records for future reference and audits.
• Conduct budget tracking, cost trend analysis, and profitability assessments for ongoing projects.
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000.

Requirements • Proven experience in project accounting, with a strong understanding of financial reconciliation and reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Solid knowledge of general ledger management, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
• Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, variances, and financial risks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
