To drive Sanofi's public affairs agenda within South Cone by building strategic stakeholder relationships, influencing healthcare policy development, and advocating for patient access to innovative treatments. This role serves as the company's voice in governmental and policy discussions, ensuring Sanofi's position as a trusted healthcare partner while supporting business growth objectives and enhancing the company's reputation in alignment with Sanofi's "Play to Win" strategy.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive public affairs strategies aligned with Sanofi's corporate objectives and "Play to Win" strategy

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with government officials, policymakers, and key opinion leaders

  • Monitor and analyze policy developments that may impact Sanofi's business operations

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and approach to external stakeholders

  • Lead advocacy initiatives to shape favorable policy environments for market access and product launches

  • Represent Sanofi at industry associations, forums, and public events

  • Collaborate with regional and global public affairs teams to ensure alignment with broader corporate strategies

  • Manage public affairs projects and initiatives

  • Develop and implement public affairs strategies to support product launches and franchise priorities within the assigned geography

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with patient advocacy groups (PAGs) to understand patient needs and perspectives

  • Collaborate with franchise teams to identify policy barriers and opportunities that may impact product access and commercial success

  • Create stakeholder engagement plans to build awareness and support for new therapies among policymakers and key opinion leaders

  • Partner with Market Access teams to develop integrated strategies addressing policy and reimbursement barriers

  • Collaborate with PAGs on shared goals and initiatives that improve patient outcomes and access to treatments

  • Ensure all PAG engagements follow Sanofi's compliance guidelines and transparency requirements

  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between PAGs and relevant internal teams

  • Support PAGs in their advocacy efforts through appropriate educational resources and capacity building

About you

  • In-depth understanding of healthcare policy frameworks and decision-making processes

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and market access pathways

  • Understanding of patient advocacy landscape and stakeholder ecosystem

  • Strategic thinking and planning capabilities

  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building

  • Project management and organizational skills

  • Analytical skills to assess policy implications

  • Political acumen and diplomatic approach

Qualifications

  • Education level/degree/certification: University Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, or related field, preferably Master Degree in Public Policies, Pharmacoeconomics, Healthcare Policy or Business Administration.

  • Previous Experience: 7+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or related field, preferably in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry

  • Language requirements: Fluency in Spanish and English
