Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Mechanical
Drafter with proficiency in SolidWorks to join our dynamic engineering
team. As a Mechanical Drafter, you will play a critical role in the
design and development of innovative mechanical systems and components.
Your expertise in SolidWorks will be instrumental in translating
conceptual designs into precise technical drawings and models, ensuring
the accurate representation of our engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Design Development:
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project
requirements and objectives.
- Translate conceptual ideas and rough sketches into detailed 2D
and 3D models using SolidWorks.
- Contribute to the creation of accurate and comprehensive
technical drawings, assembly layouts, and specifications.
- Develop models and drawings that adhere to industry standards
and best practices.
- Detailing and Documentation:
- Create detailed part drawings, assemblies, and bills of
materials (BOMs) for manufacturing and assembly purposes.
- Generate documentation that provides clear instructions for
production, assembly, and quality control.
- CAD Modeling and Analysis:
- Utilize SolidWorks to construct complex 3D models of mechanical
components, systems, and structures.
- Conduct basic simulations and analysis using SolidWorks to
evaluate the functionality and performance of designs.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers,
designers, and project managers, to ensure designs meet project
goals and specifications.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address design
changes, improvements, and feedback.
- Quality Control:
- Review and verify designs for accuracy, completeness, and
adherence to design standards.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between design documentation
and physical prototypes or products.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best
practices related to mechanical design and SolidWorks
capabilities.
- Suggest and implement improvements to design processes,
workflows, and tools to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
- Associate\'s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting,
or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Drafter with a strong emphasis on
SolidWorks proficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and
manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in creating 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks
software.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for drafting
and design.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and adapt
to changing project priorities.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to propose creative design
solutions.
Pay:
\$22.33/hr + DOE
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
7:00am to 4:30pm.
