Position Summary:

Boeing Distribution Services (BDSI) is seeking aSenior Program Management Specialist(Level 5) to join our Distribution Services Intercompany program team. Come join the BDSI Product Line Management team as a Senior Product Line Specialist on the OEM Product Line. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of Product Line growth and supply & purchase agreements with a focus on meeting the Product Line profitability and performance objectives (Sales, GM%, OTD, Inventory, etc.). Reporting to the BDSI OEM Product and Services Senior Manager and supporting the BDSI Product Line and Services Sr. Director, and Leadership Team, you work in close cooperation with all relevant functional areas to enable the success of the product line and drive the business.

This position allows telecommuting.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop global Market Segment strategies – manage product life cycle in each segment and maximize the performance (Price, Sales, Gross Margin %, and inventory). Includes strategic planning, and tactical activities and companywide go to market sales plans

  • Develop sales and margin plan, account and market strategies, and price/negotiation campaigns, in conjunction with the regional sales organizations and Sales Managers. Assist sales with new proposals.

  • Analyze pricing strategy for OEM product line within BDSI to grow aftermarket share; identify pricing optimization opportunities.

  • Monitor cost of product; develop data and trend analysis; support and assist Supply Chain with strategies to reduce part cost and identify alternative sources of supply.

  • Assist in management of global product line forecast and validate JDA output; develop and refine the risk profile for high value product line part numbers and make recommendations to Supply Chain on stocking levels for high risk part numbers.

  • Maintain and manage the Purchase Agreement and review annual price adjustments.

  • Conduct Product Line training and information sessions for the various functions – focus product knowledge and customer/part familiarization.

  • Responsible for assisting all Program Managers that have product line program management requirements and may include customer forecast development; assisting with price and cost analysis and initial provisioning.

  • Identify opportunities for shared aftermarket leverage to expand distribution agreements with suppliers inclusive of exclusivity or royalties.

  • Maintain the License & Supply Agreements and part base including submittals and approval process of new part candidates and superseded parts.

  • Work across PL team, Supplier Management, and Sales on leveraging opportunities, primarily on interrelated components to establish pricing model.

  • Perform other duties/special projects as assigned.

    Basic Qualifications(Required Skills/Experience):

  • 6-8 year of related work experience

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex technical documents

  • Develop/Maintain strong relationships 3rdparty customers

  • Ability to work, define problems, collect data, develop metrics, and work with financial concepts to make effective wise decisions.

  • Proficient with various inter-relational software programs (i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access)

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively cross-functionally

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

    Preferred Qualifications(Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Education: Master’s Degree Business Administration

  • Experience working in a cross functional environment

  • Experience working within the aviation industry

  • Experience with developing and delivering presentations to Senior Leaders

  • Project or Program management certification

  • Ability to translate leadership vision into actionable steps, gain leadership buyoff, and execute plan with project team

  • Experience excelling and delivering results in a matrixed organization with competing projects and team resources

  • Experience working with organizational change initiatives and/or implementation of enterprise level processes

    Travel: Position may require travel up to 20% of the time
