Red River Senior HR Generalist in Chantilly, Virginia

Summary:

The Sr. HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management. This position carries out strategic and tactical responsibilities in multiple functional areas to include: onboarding, recruitment/employment, employee relations, training, employment law compliance and HRIS management.

Our HR team supports a proactive approach to Human Resource Management and relationships are key. The Sr. HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management. This position carries out strategic and tactical responsibilities in multiple functional areas to include: onboarding, recruitment/employment, employee relations, training, employment law compliance and HRIS management.

This position must work East Coast hours.

Position Overview:

The Sr. HR Generalist is a business partner to the departments they support.

  • They work side by side with department managers to provide strategic direction using reporting and analysis as well as employee feedback.

  • The Sr. HR Generalist also manages and performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

  • The right person will be responsible for actively and knowledgably managing employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR

  • 5+ years of HR experience

  • HR Certification through HRCI or SHRM

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Proficient with Excel

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

  • Up to 5% travel to corporate offices (as required)
