Description
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with solid expertise in managing financial records, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations. The role requires proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting systems to support accurate financial reporting and compliance. This is a part-time role only.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial records and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports.
• Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software, such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP, to manage financial data.
• Monitor and maintain the general ledger to support accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries from auditors.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
• Strong understanding of general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
