KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist Relationship Managers with the following:
Renewal activities with existing clients
Maintaining Salesforce pipeline on existing clients (draws, increases, paydowns, payoffs)
Completion of the Closing Checklist
Cross-sell Activities
Collecting any information requested for any audits or regulatory exams
Client portfolio maintenance requests
Pre-call preparation and post-call follow-up
Support Portfolio Managers and Group Portfolio Managers with Underwriting/Credit Approval as follows: Run A-IRB ODR / LGD models
Complete underwriting and loan presentations, with focus on:
Annual reviews
Straight-forward renewals
Material AmendmentsNew deals
Non-credit approval authority up to approved limits (must be at least Associate II and Officer)
Has direct client contact in performing responsibilities as needed
Client Portfolio Maintenance
Collect customer financial reporting / covenants
Upload / submit customer information received
Submit Credit Lens spread requests
Order appraisals, appraisal / environmental reviews, flood due diligence
Review customer financial reporting / covenants, recommend adjustments to risk ratings and research trends
Review spreads, appraisals and other due diligence received
Escalate potential issues / areas of concern to Portfolio and Senior Portfolio Managers
Has direct client contact in performing responsibilities as needed

Speaking up if witnessing behaviors that drive poor or unfair outcomes for clients, team members or other stakeholders
Escalating matters that can result in adverse market practices and outcomes, thereby negatively impacting CIBC’s reputation as a leading financial institution
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Preferred Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience including underwriting, structuring, loan closing, documentation, and portfolio management
Ability to produce an LP with limited supervision
Completion of Commercial Banking Training Program or equivalent credit training program and 1-2 years in a Credit Analyst or Associate role
Developing knowledge of risk models and systems
