Description

Robert Half is looking for a fulltime, entry-level Financial Analyst. Financial Analyst's duties such as, supporting the accounting and finance departments, as well as complete routine assignments and solve standard problems with limited discretion. We need an open-minded individual for a Financial Analyst position that is comfortable working with a large sum of data and proficient at managing expectations. What you get to do every day

  • Devise unique alternatives and solutions to reduce costs and elevate financial performance of a company

  • Stay updated on the preliminaries of monthly financial reporting and other business data

  • Study veritable results at the corporate and division levels

  • Stabilize and determine budgets and income statement forecasts

  • Explore and query an immense amounts of data

  • Engage in annual budgeting process

  • Be involved in numerous aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)

  • Partake in ensuring adequate controls and procedures

  • Explain complex financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects occasionally

  • Cooperate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits

    Requirements

  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

  • Accomplished computer skills are a must. This includes word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • VLOOKUP experience

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

  • Proficiency in Pivot Table

  • Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
