Job Description:

Manufacturing Quality Engineers are a key component to manufacturing defect free products and ensuring that our process is as efficient as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong quality and manufacturing engineering background, interested in driving quality into our product.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with various groups in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (experience in a high-volume electronics manufacturing/testing environment is strongly preferred)

  • Experience with circuit boards and micro circuit assemblies (preferred)

  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively

  • Collect and analyze test/defect data from relevant sources, and identify root causes

  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines to find root cause for systemic failures and implement corrective actions.

  • Lead/support in-depth investigations of quality issues (Non-Conformances, Process Problems, RCCA’s, Audit Observations, etc.) ensuring effective corrective/preventive actions occur.

  • Facilitate quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects/quality related issues and make recommendations to improve the production process based on findings from quality analysis.

  • Effectively communicate issue descriptions, improvement progress, and latest status to management

  • Data analysis is strong plus (Tableau, MS Power BI, Excel)

  • Participate in CI/LEAN initiatives and utilize Six Sigma tools for process improvements (8-D, Fish-bone diagram, KNOT chart, 5 Why’s, ect.)

  • Participate in cross-functional teams for process control, improvement, and optimization projects; participate in ad-hoc continuous improvement projects

  • Facilitate non-conforming investigations, inclusive of interactions with vendors or Supplier Development and Procurement for issues associated with raw materials and components

  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 requirements and J-Std-001

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • 9+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Production Quality Assurance.

  • Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US government Secret clearance.
