Our Business Unit Rail Infrastructure supplies the global markets of rail and road-bound transport with innovative products and solutions for Rail Automation, Rail Electrification and in the area of intermodal mobility, apps and backend systems. We contribute to energy saving and emission reduction with efficient automation systems

Your responsibilities:

You will be Responsible for ensuring that the Electrification portfolio hits its order intake target each year, which will require close collaboration with the bid team and other parts of the business. You will also look further ahead to identify, influence and qualify future opportunities to provide a high-quality pipeline for future years

  • Own the production of a sales strategy which complements the overall business strategy.

  • Co ordinate the Identification and creation of new opportunities through in-depth engagement and relationship building across the industry

  • Map out the key relationships required for the portfolio to succeed and ensure these relationships are owned and managed. Focusing on our key customers, but also Including consultants, Tier 1 contractors and industry bodies such as RIA. Working collaboratively across the business.

  • Leading the activity required to directly sell our solutions and products to key customers including maintenance teams and other framework contractors, including developing relationships with the key customer procurement leads

  • Ensure that we develop relationships with key customers to win new work by understanding the future pipeline and influencing specification and procurement strategies to improve our chance of success.

  • Collaborate to drive opportunities from identification to win; by developing win strategies, capture plans and target price, where appropriate, and taking opportunities through our internal business development processes.

  • Lead the development of a portfolio marketing strategy which is agreed with the portfolio leadership team and the marketing team including industry award entries

  • Identify potential new markets and collaborate internally to make informed market entry decisions.

  • Lead the understanding of the Electrification market and work with the Sales Excellence team to detail and share this understanding

  • Reporting progress on key opportunities to the business portfolio/regional and Exec

What we are looking for?

  • Highly driven, self-motivated and agile; someone who takes ownership for achieving ambitious results

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, developing winning strategies and developing future pipelines

  • An understanding of Rail Electrification is preferred; an understanding of the rail industry is essential.

  • A brilliant collaborator who can build relationships with customers, external and internal partners

  • A great communicator, able to distil complex topics into concise and compelling communication

  • Someone passionate about helping customers to be successful and contributing to a better public transport network. Your passion for this topic will be infectious

  • Creative and strategic problem solver who can spot opportunities and bring new solutions to market

  • Line Management experience

  • Able to manage multiple internal stakeholders requirements effectively

  • Commercially astute with high integrity

  • Strong influencing skills with credibility at board level internally and externally

  • A dedication to improvement

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a business or technically related subject area
