Robert Half Accounting Manager in Cranbury, New Jersey

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Cranbury, New Jersey. This role is pivotal within our Wholesale Distribution industry where you will be overseeing accounting functions, utilizing Sage Intacct, and preparing financial statements. This position will also be engaged in the month-end closing process.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes

• Utilize Sage Intacct for various accounting operations

• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close

• Develop and maintain financial statements for the company

• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations

• Direct the financial planning and budget processes for the company

• Meet processing and reporting deadlines

• Respond to inquiries from the director of finance, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like. Requirements • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in using Sage Intacct software for accounting purposes

• Ability to manage and oversee Month End Close processes

• Expertise in preparing and presenting Financial Statements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven experience in a managerial role within the Accounting department

• Strong understanding of wholesale distribution industry

• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to work with complex financial data and perform detailed analyses

• Knowledge of local and federal regulations related to accounting and tax

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
