Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry, based in Dania, Florida. The chosen applicant will be responsible for managing accounts payable and ensuring the smooth processing of company inventory and expense payables. This role sits within a fast-paced workplace environment and offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the reconciliation of vendor accounts, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all transactions.
• Handle the processing of weekly payment selections, considering the company's terms and cash flow requirements.
• Maintain stringent control over vendor invoices and expense vouchers, ensuring timely payments and accurate record keeping.
• Implement and uphold systems, procedures, and policies, specifically related to accounts payable functions, to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Collaborate with the merchandising and operations team to verify the accuracy and timely approval of all company invoices.
• Manage the processing of freight invoices, freight claims, rebates, and discounts.
• Identify and assist with the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Use accounting software to manage and organize data, ensuring the accuracy of customer credit records.
• Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in Check Runs and Coding Invoices
• Skilled in Data Entry and Invoice Processing
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Previous experience in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge as required by the job
