**HIRING - Production Painter - Trussville, AL Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Shift: 2nd Shift (3:30pm - 1:00am)
Other key responsibilities** Responsible for accepting only parts that are properly prepared for paint Responsible for manually moving parts through the painting, flashing, and drying sections of the paint system Responsible for the entire paint process including but not limited to: mixing paints and solvents according to manufacturers specifications correct operation of automated mixing equipment application of liquid paint to meet specifications using electrostatic and traditional paintguns assuring that parts reside in the flashing and drying sections of the paint system for the specified time inspection of work and correction to work as necessary periodic cleaning/flushing of paint/solvent delivery systems as required Responsible for having maintenance of all paint system equipment accomplished as specified, whether scheduled with the Maintenance Department or as part of the paint work process Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint system and work area Assist as needed in all areas of the paint line operation
Basic Qualifications Candidate must possess a High School diploma or equivalent GED. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform strenuous repetitive work Ability to work while wearing respirator and protective clothing Must pass pulmonary function test and respirator fit test Should possess an attention to detail and desire to produce high quality parts Ability to follow oral and written instructions Self-starter
