This role is part of the New Shepard program. New Shepard is a reusable
suborbital rocket system crafted to take astronauts and research payloads past
the Karman line - the internationally recognized boundary of space. Through
operational reusability, New Shepard supports our mission of lowering the
cost of access to space!
As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will own the
software product lifecycle management plan including the creation and updating
of any processes required to support the execution of the plan. You will
facilitate software deployment, release, and configuration management and
control for various spaceflight systems. You will provide essential
contributions to the team's impact on all aspects of software configuration
management for each phase of the development lifecycle. You will be expected
to lead software design integration within the overall vehicle configuration.
You will lead regular technical configuration reviews to align software
development and change activities, including code, requirements and
software version control. You will review Software Change packages for
technical completeness and support their review at change control board. Other
duties will include guiding multi-functional teams through the software change
process; supporting the resolution of integration issues with lead engineers
and their respective teams; and developing or managing control documents
associated with interface definitions between subsystems.
