Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our Cloud Engineering Team aligned to our customers in the West as the Strategic Presales Cloud Solution Director. This role is a unique opportunity to drive success within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and make a significant impact on our most valuable customers' cloud journeys.
Role and Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of OCI Cloud Architects, known as the Strategic Installs team, dedicated to serving our largest and most strategic customers.
Develop and execute account-specific cloud adoption strategies to accelerate growth, increase market share, and ensure customer success.
Drive workload migration and modernization, helping customers transform their mission-critical applications and data onto the OCI platform.
Advocate for architectural excellence by providing best-in-class solutions, ensuring the successful implementation of cloud-native architectures, and promoting the adoption of OCI's advanced services.
Foster strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including executives, IT leaders, and technical teams, to understand their business needs and align OCI solutions accordingly.
Collaborate with the sales, customer success, and professional services teams to develop joint account plans, identify new business opportunities, and ensure smooth customer onboarding.
Guide the team to create and deliver compelling technical presentations, proposals, and proof-of-concepts to address customer challenges and win competitive deals.
Monitor and analyze customer usage, provide insights, and recommend optimization strategies to improve customer satisfaction and drive consumption growth.
Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance and influencing customer decision-making processes.
Ensure the team stays up-to-date with OCI's latest offerings and industry trends through continuous learning and knowledge-sharing.
Work closely with OCI's product and engineering teams to provide feedback, influence the product roadmap, and shape the future of OCI's cloud offerings.
Qualifications and Skills:
Extensive experience in a presales, cloud architecture, or technical consulting leadership role, preferably within the cloud computing industry.
Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing technical teams, including mentoring, coaching, and career development.
Deep technical expertise in cloud technologies, architecture design, and a strong understanding of cloud migration and modernization processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology solutions with customer business goals and objectives.
Experience in customer-facing roles, building relationships, and managing expectations at the executive level.
Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and solutions is preferred.
Industry certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are a significant advantage.

Responsibilities
Responsible for directing and managing resources, typically through others, to work with customers, sales, engineering, and product teams to design and implement solutions for customers. Establishes and communicates business objectives, metrics and plans to ensure attainment of business strategy. Manages the implementation of solutions, ensures successful deployments, provides direction on code development and scripting. Oversees the support of customers from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services, resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Frequent interaction with C level.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $161,700 to $270,800 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 60/40.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
