Actalent NERC Compliance Engineer in Durham, North Carolina

Description

The Cybersecurity Compliance Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems and technologies required to ensure compliance with NERC CIP standards at our client's Remote Operation Center. This position will work closely with the Cybersecurity Compliance Analysts, the Head of Cybersecurity and other stakeholders to translate policies into technical solutions that meet regulatory requirements. Technologies you should know: • Linux and Windows server environments • Virtualization technologies including Docker and VMWare • Industrial control systems (ICS) and SCADA networks • Network security technologies, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, primarily based on the Fortinet Fortigate and Fortiswitch product lines • SIEM, monitoring and logging tools What we look for on a resume: • Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, or related field • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT/OT systems administration, network engineering, or related role • Strong knowledge of NERC CIP standards and their technical implementation • Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills • Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, GICSP, CISA)

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00
