2nd or 3rd Shift: Bindery Operators Needed - Direct Hire up to $28/hr
Job Description
As a Bindery Operator, you will be responsible for performing set-up tasks, monitoring the equipment and troubleshooting on our Core Publishing Solutions team.
Responsibilities
Review job specifications for material and set-up requirements.
Monitor equipment and product quality; obtain maintenance support for equipment as needed.
Perform simple to moderately complex troubleshooting related to product or equipment.
Communicate effectively during shift and at shift hand-off.
Evaluate the mechanical condition of equipment, completing preventative maintenance.
Use computer-based workflow applications to manage files.
Accurately document activities on Tier Boards and in relevant systems (MII, SAP), including material usage and equipment issues.
Perform feeding, catching off, stacking, bundling, or physical inventory cycle count activities.
Actively participate in company safety programs and contribute to a safe culture.
Meet or exceed established quality and productivity standards utilizing standard work procedures.
Essential Skills
Experience with press machines, bindery operations, and machine operation.
Knowledge of troubleshooting and printing press operations.
Experience in printing companies such as Loften Label, AWT, First Impressions, Genpak, Computype, Smyth, Vomela, Carlson Printing, Proampac, Graphic Packaging International, and IWCO.

Work Environment
Large industrial printing and bindery shop. The culture is a close-knit production crew focused on completing tasks in a timely, efficient, and safe manner to keep production running smoothly. The right fit for the culture includes people who are curious, creative, collaborative, and active participants. Gloves and safety equipment (safety glasses, etc.) are provided, and the company pays for steel toe boots.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67000.00/yr.
