Job Summary:

Naval Aviation Warfare Center Training Systems Division requires full time Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Subject Matter Experts (SME) to support Center for Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Diving (CEODD) and Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD) EOD Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) Content Conversion / Curriculum Development services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a SME on EOD and EOD Training as part of a team of contractors modernizing and developing specific courses of instruction that are part of the EOD initial accession training pipeline.

  • Participate in face-to-face collaboration, key data collection activities (interviews, workshops, and reviews) and will be available for providing follow-up information via phone, video-teleconference, or approved virtual meeting tools.

  • Provide material solution recommendations for EOD course content converted / content developed, ensuring it meets the desired classroom / laboratory delivery required in the CEODD domain.


  • Must be a graduate of the NAVSCOLEOD Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal Basic Common Core course and a recipient of the Basic EOD NEC, NOBC, or MOS from the U.S. Navy, USMC, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force.

  • Must be a qualified EOD Officer or Master EOD Technician with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the Department of Defense EOD community.

  • Must have served a minimum of two years at CEODD, CEODD Learning Site Great Lakes, Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center, or NAVSCOLEOD as a course manager, Division Officer, Officer in Charge, or Department Head or greater.

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in EOD high Risk Training.

  • A minimum of two years’ experience as an EOD Department Head or EOD Departmental Leading Chief Petty Officer (or service equivalent).

  • Must be able to articulate and translate your Master EOD Technician understanding and experience in EOD operations, EOD operating environments and associated core EOD tactics, techniques, and procedures to curriculum developers who do not have an EOD background.

  • Must be proficient in the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) Training Development Processes (NETCINST 1500.19/Navy Training Process).

  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

  • Highly desired – Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS).
