POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of National Accounts, Matthews Granite, drives the company's profitable revenue growth across key national customers by building strong relationships with senior-level contacts and regional company leaders. This position collaborates with global and/or regional company experts to identify opportunities for, and sell, additional company solutions to drive revenue volume growth within the assigned client accounts. The Director of National Accounts establishes and maintains deep, consultative relationships and is a highly trusted advisor to the assigned clients and company teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads senior-level relationships with clients including top market segment leaders across the nation.
Establishes trusted advisor relationships in which clients and colleagues seek out advice and counsel.
Acts as a strategic partner to assigned clients by demonstrating a deep understanding of their market and business sectors and their specific challenges and opportunities. Provide thought leadership, insights and perspectives that support client initiatives and align our product and services with client needs.
Seeks to increase revenue by translating client's challenges into growth opportunities for our business through expanding into new client products, and cross selling the company's services.
Maintains existing business relationship with assigned clients by staying closely connected to internal project teams, monitoring progress of ongoing client projects as needed, and helping to address and resolve promptly, accurately, effectively, and to the client's satisfaction, any issues or problems that may arise.
Creates strong and effective partnerships with developments and deployment teams through sharing a deep understanding of client markets and business sectors and specific challenges and opportunities facing those clients. Works with company leaders to develop solutions that align our products and services with client needs.
Participates in, and often leads, the development and delivery of innovative proposals to capture both account growth and new business opportunities.
Increases the company's industry profile through actively engaging in networking, public speaking, teaching, judging and/or other industry activities.
Maintains and grows annual revenue and profit targets for assigned clients.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales or related field
Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
10 years progressive experience managing client accounts within a sales/target driven environment, including experience managing key accounts ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expertise in building new relationships and nurturing existing relationships with internal and external clients.
Deep understanding of market and business environment that affects the assigned clients.
Excellent client management skills.
Knowledge and experience with business models, objectives, financial metrics, etc. used in decision-making; ability to build sound business cases to support innovative initiatives.
Frequent travel nationally will be required.
