CSG International Software Engineer Lead - COBOL in Englewood, Colorado

What We Do:

Our team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing User Data Files (UDF), a critical component of the ACP system. UDF consists of code tables and data cards that clients use to configure and control processing within the platform. As developers, we manage structural changes to existing tables and cards, as well as the creation of new ones to meet evolving business needs. In our support role, we oversee a daily build process that enables clients to update and manage their UDF configurations seamlessly.

We are looking for a Software Engineer Lead who will:

Perform complex product design, system analysis, and programming activities for application solutions to meet specifications which may require extensive research.

Perform complex code reviews, bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.

Research, evaluate problems, and perform root cause analysis for issues discovered by QA or service requests and develop solutions to the problems.

Guide team members throughout the support process to identify, research, and diagnose logic errors that are complex in nature and provide necessary solutions.

Possess the ability to diagnose and implement solutions that exist between multiple application subsystems.

Mentor, train and provide guidance to other employees.

Research new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience

6+ years of experience with application development and support

Demonstrated knowledge in software development methodologies/processes, design, implementation and documentation

Familiarity with COBOL, JCL, Java, DB2

Knowledge of the JOBs and/or UDF subsystems

Team player with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively and contribute positively to our inclusive work environment

Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment
