Industrial Maintenance Technician

Description:

In this position, candidates will be performing preventative maintenance and repair on industrial baking equipment. Some fixes will be minor breaks and during down time, will perform product changeovers. TIG welding is also preferred. Maintenance will be performed on equipment on Saturdays when the plant is down. Having multiple products that are produced requires different sized equipment or speeds of the line running. Machines that cut and shape bread dough have hydraulic features and candidates will be required to examine and fix any issues that arrise.

Responsibilies Include:

  • Examining and fixing any breakdowns that occur on the production line

  • Completing the changeover of equipment

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints

  • Weld, fabricate, and grind equipment as needed while fixing

  • Keeping machines upkept by performing preventative maintenance

  • Demonstrate basic math skills(subtraction, multiplication and division, and percentages)

  • Fabricate parts as needed in the shop on site

  • Communicate with production supervisors and managers on the status of machines

Schedule: Monday - Friday

8am to 4:30pm

  • 1 Year experience in maintenance, shop work, or an industrial setting

  • Automotive experience also is applicable

  • Blueprint reading

Nice to have:

  • Electrical and Pneumatic knowledge

  • Farming experience

Candidates will start with their own basic set of tools. After 6 months, the company will buy a set of tools for the employee

  • SAE and Metric wrenches and sockets

  • Screwdrivers

  • Hand tools - pliers, wire cutters, etc.

  • Tape Measure

  • Multimeter (if you have it)
