Staples Sr Manager, Customer Marketing in Framingham, Massachusetts

Our team is diverse, with skillsets and responsibilities ranging from graphic design, content creation and performance marketing to internal communications and loyalty & rewards programs. We work together to provide expertise and guidance, so that the Staples brand is well represented in all areas.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with merchandising, sales, and customer insights to develop a deep understanding of the facilities business, including customer wants and needs, pain points, product offerings, and solutions.

  • Develop and implement lead generation activity to capture, nurture, and win new facilities and breakroom buyers.

  • Define/execute coordinated sales and marketing strategies to grow share from active buyers.

  • Review and evolve tactics based on areas of opportunity.

  • Partner with sales operations teams to activate seller actions in coordination with marketing efforts.

  • Prioritize initiatives based on business impact.

  • Partner with sales team to ensure sales tools are relevant and coordinated with other campaign messaging.

  • Create a pipeline of testing and learning, with clear goals and actions based on test results.

  • Oversee the tactical execution of plans, ensuring flawless execution.

  • Drive development of measurement plans/KPIs in partnership with customer analytics. Drive post-campaign analysis and action plan.

  • Manage marketing budget for facilities and breakroom marketing.

What you bring to the table:

  • Experienced, results-oriented, and customer-centric B2B sales and marketing professional with the ability to drive strategy using customer insights and transactional data.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and creative problem-solving activities.

  • Team-orientation, with an affinity for influencing and working across functions in a dynamic, often-changing environment.

  • Strong leader; able to keep initiatives moving on time, on budget, and with attention to detail.

  • Ability to foresee and prevent problems in advance and fix any issues quickly.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical skills; able to articulate the most important business questions and develop recommendations and action plans based on data.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ or more years of strategic planning and sales/marketing experience

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Marketing or Communications

  • Previous experience in B2B sales and marketing

  • Previous experience with marketing in a facilities or manufacturing-related industry
