The Veterinary Relations Representative’s role is to function as the primary growth engine for driving referral consults. You will accomplish this by owning outbound communications and activities to a broad range of primary care veterinarians (pDVMs). In this role, you will develop strategic relationships between our BluePearl doctors and our pDVM community. Utilizing visits, marketing materials and continuing education programs, you will be instrumental in helping us build relationships to increase awareness of specialty and emergency services and how we partner with our pDVMs to provide care for their patients. You will exude motivation to build rapport through awareness and anticipating pDVM needs to meet market goals. This position is a 100% salary, no commission plan. This person is responsible for building relationships with our doctors, managers and the pDVM community.

As the Veterinary Relations Representative, you will:

  • Develop, build, and maintain DVM relationships through on-site visits, CE programs, email, fax campaigns, and more.

  • Work collaboratively with staff doctors and managers to gain insight into each location’s specific needs, new services, and procedures.

  • Complete all territory objectives including achieving consult plan while operating within specified expense budget.

  • Provide comprehensive knowledge of our services and specialists to the veterinary community.

  • Account management by keeping current territory records concerning activities; communicates timely, accurately, and meaningfully with doctors, managers and others as required, utilizing in-person, computer, written and phone communications resources effectively. Seeks their support and keeps them informed of changes that may impact the business.

  • Responsible for knowing territory markets and hospitals, market potentials, and keeping current on changes that are taking place in these markets.

  • Function as key liaison with local veterinary medical associations and other business and professional associations in the territory.

  • Actively participates in creating and implementing market-specific plans to meet goals.

  • Other related duties as assigned.
