Job Description:
This position collaborates across the enterprise and with peer institutions to help identify Workday reporting and dashboard functionalities to meet business requirements in keeping with industry best practices. Develops a strong understanding of the wide variety of activities and needs, identifies commonalities and exceptions, and implements solutions that address the comprehensive needs of the research enterprise. Works directly with stakeholders, including grants administrators and faculty, to facilitate post-award reporting solutions.
Performs needs assessment, gap analysis, and documents business requirements, in support of continued optimization of reporting for central post-award and departmental research administration. Documents on current and future state maps, reporting requirements, system configurations, and other relevant information. Translates functional business requirements into reporting and technical design decisions.
Participates in end-user and other stakeholder engagement and coordinates user acceptance testing. Develops training materials and conducts training of end users and fellow administrative users as needed. Supports end users immediately after the system goes live.
Expected Salary:
$85,000-$100,000
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
This position must be proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with a large-scale ERP implementation (e.g., Workday) is strongly preferred.
Experience designing reporting, dashboards, and other data analysis solutions
Demonstrated understanding of research administration and financial processes
Familiarity with relational database principles and querying
Strong data literacy, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including training facilitation experience
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results within established timelines
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines
Acts as a change agent to identify and champion process improvement
