Plant Manger:

Our state-of-the-art facility utilizes cutting-edge technology and processes, including no-bake and v-process molding for Iron and Steel Foundry operations. With a focus on world-class people, processes, and equipment, we are seeking a highly skilled Plant Manager to lead our team through the exciting challenges of establishing and managing this ground-up plant.
Position Overview: As the Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our foundry operations, from melting and metallurgy to molding and cleaning. This position requires a candidate with comprehensive experience in foundry operations, coupled with project management skills for the successful execution of a new facility build. The ideal candidate will thrive in a modern office setting, leading a team in a high-tech environment that includes CNC machining, robotic cleaning, and machine tending.
Responsibilities:
Foundry Operations Oversight:
Manage all phases of foundry operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
Oversee melting and metallurgical processes, molding, and cleaning operations.
Implement best practices to optimize production processes and meet quality standards.
Technology Integration:
Coordinate the implementation of CNC machining, robotic cleaning, and machine tending processes.
Stay abreast of technological advancements in the industry to enhance plant capabilities.
Project Management:
Lead the ground-up build of the plant, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion.
Team Leadership:
Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
Reporting and Communication:
Report directly to ownership, serving as a crucial link to the general manager and VP of operations.
Communicate regularly on plant performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience in all aspects of foundry operations, with a focus on iron and steel.
Demonstrated success in project management, preferably in a plant construction setting.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with no-bake and v-process molding processes.
Knowledge of CNC machining, robotic cleaning, and machine tending technologies.
Leadership:
Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
open to experienced foundryman education is a plus.
Preferred Bachelor's degree in engineering, metallurgy, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus).
Adaptability:
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, start-up environment and adapt to changing priorities.
