Scientist III, Cell Biology Position Summary

Discover impactful work in the Scientist III role on our process development team. You will be exposed to an outstanding variety of cell clones and bioreactor operating scenarios. Guiding team members, you will create and coordinate study plan execution; educating others on results. You will also manage crafting and optimizing workflows with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement.

A day in the life:

  • Cell culture & bioreactor expertise: generate study plans and DOEs, lining up timelines with resources, encourage results while improving integrity. Define reactor builds and configuration. Educate on rationale and mentor others.

  • Get meaningful results: Provide insight on data and innovation; generating and presenting content to make it impactful.

  • Research and drive innovation to improve workflows using practical process improvement; balancing goals against resources and business needs

Keys to success:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent required.

Experience

  • At least 4 years of cell culture work with detailed understanding cell expansion, mAb production, and cell therapy

  • Successfully implement bioreactors, controllers, control schemes, and scaling methods

  • Strong familiarity with cell culture analysis instrumentation in high-throughput and automated lab workflows

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficiency with data and statistical analysis, and scientific plot generation

  • Proven understanding of statistical design of experiment (DOE)

  • Ability to manage complete experiment execution including timelines and resources

  • Robust presentation skills and teaching ability

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $83,300.00–$125,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
