ASFC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a Project Support Specialist to provide Full-Time support to a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD .
Job Summary:
Provide Project Support Specialist support to the Terrestrial Information Systems Laboratory Code 619 in the management of their funding.
Responsibilities
Provide support in the development of materials such as budget, basis of estimates, phasing plans, workforce exercises, and PPBE (Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution).
Utilize financial Systems such as Business Objects Analysis Office (BOBJ), SAP, Raptor, Funds Control, AMMS, MAPS, and Travel Systems, or any replacement system(s) required to perform this job.
Ensure PI’s (Principal Investigators) workbooks are updated monthly, and copies are sent to the Resource Analyst (RA), Principal Investigators (PI) and also uploaded to managements’ shared drive.
Update funded program weekly status reports, and submit completed reports to Resource Analysts.
Support the RA in maintaining, updating, and reconciling Code 619 Operating Account Budget spreadsheets, for submission to Lab Manager.
Support the RA in updating and reconciling the Grant tracking and cost spreadsheets for submission to the PI.
Assist in the review of available balances by Project WBS’s and Funded Programs.
Prepare procurement requests and track purchase orders.
Support the RA in the creation and submission of funding templates, de-obligations and/or labor adjustments to BMO. Monitor unliquidated commitments, obligations and costs.
Process incoming reimbursable packages and track funding.
Requirements:
Knowledge of the GSFC systems such as SAP, Funds Control, BobJ, PAM, Raptor, AMMS, Travel, and MAPS.
Strong working knowledge of Office365, including SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to work with all levels.
Must have the ability to balance multiple priorities and respond/produce quality work efficiently with short deadline actions in a fast-paced environment.
The individual must also possess a strong sense of ethics, discretion, and professional sophistication.
Ability to communicate project status and issues to customers and leadership as they arise.
May be responsible for taking direction from leadership and distributing information to team members, stakeholders, and leadership quickly and efficiently.
Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of professional experience or 8 or more years of related experience in lieu of degree.
