Collins Program Planning & Control (PP&C) organization is searching for an experienced Program Scheduler. The PP&C organization works with key program stakeholders to promote the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) as a healthy, integrated management tool. The master schedule is the program’s most powerful management tool and when properly maintained, the schedule can be used to influence program management decisions and actions. PP&C supports various programs by managing the IMS content, providing quality analysis of the product and ensuring that it meets government and company standards.

The program Scheduler will work with program office stakeholders and partners to ensure quality inputs and baseline integrity.

The Program Scheduler is flexible, shows initiative and innovation, deals with ambiguous and fast-paced situations, demonstrates data gathering, analytical, problem-solving expertise, and deploys client-interfacing skills.

This is a hybrid position located in Windsor Locks, CT, candidate must be a commutable distance. Time spent working in the office will be discussed with your manager. May be eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the Project Manager, and with input from the cross-functional team, generate, publish and maintain an accurate a Master Schedule, using MS Project, showing the tasks to deliver on-time, per customer requirements and milestones.

  • Work closely with PMO, development, operations and other project teams to develop detailed schedules, keep these schedules current and seamlessly integrated into the Master Schedule.

  • Provide hands-on development of layered schedules detailing how a specific project is progressing including how the project contributes to overarching program requirements and objectives.

  • Develop and maintain linkages, dependencies and inter-dependencies with related projects.

  • Identify major milestones, decision points, project life-cycle and other project events.

  • Identify critical path and task dependencies.

  • Set and maintain the baseline schedule and track all changes to the baselined schedule.

  • Develop schedule version control processes, policies, and procedures and ensure they are followed during the development and maintenance of schedules.

  • Maintain government compliant schedules

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CPM scheduling, planning, and meeting DCMA requirements.

  • Experience with managing Integrated Master Schedules.

  • Microsoft Project and/or other scheduling tools.

  • Experience preparing and presenting documents using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.

  • Experience managing client relationships.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
