3 x Associate Analyst - TFT - Please note that these are contracts till February 2024.

We are currently hiring an Associate Analyst based in our Head Office.

As Associate Analyst you will support BCAA’s financial operations (FinOps), by conducting analysis and forecasts of BCAA’s financial performance. You’ll be responsible for reconciling bank accounts and coordinating bank-related activities (Moneris), including user and account set ups, ensuring the integrity of our membership accounts, and make recommendations to improve BCAA’s financial processes.

What you’ll do

  • Apply diverse and disparate systems to acquire data to support timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting.

  • Analyze and coordinate data to assist the FinOps team, with interpretation of information impacting business accounts and internal controls.

  • Interact with internal business partners to identify and develop a keen understanding of business issues, and how data can aid in their decision-making.

  • Use insights from internal business partners to improve and/or develop new reports and dashboards to aid in their decision-making.

  • Identify & implement operational improvements/enhancements to support the manager with decision-making.

  • Perform daily reconciliation of banking activities.

  • Ad-hoc projects as required.

What you’ll bring

  • Post-secondary Degree in Business/Commerce/Computer Science with a concentration in Finance/Accounting/ or Data Science.

  • Prior co-op/internship experience in accounting/finance or data analysis/data science.

  • Demonstrated understanding of financial and management accounting concepts.

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel.

  • Currently pursuing continued professional development through the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation programs, or Masters in Business Administration (MBA).

  • Bonus Skills:

  • Prior exposure to a medium to large, multi-entity corporate reporting structure.

  • Prior experience in a high transaction volume environment.

The salary range for this position is $53,098.56 to $66,373.08, plus a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
