Description
We are on the lookout for a meticulous Accounting Clerk to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. Your role will primarily revolve around maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in the financial industry, where you will work closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments. Responsibilities:
• Accurately process daily receipts and maintain the accounts receivable ledger
• Manage invoice processing and fact-checking
• Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and other irregularities
• Review AR aging to ensure compliance and manage collection efforts and customer relationships
• Ensure timely collection of payments and manage debt recovery
• Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries related to accounts
• Assist in general financial management and analysis
• Communicate with customers on billing issues and manage debt recovery
• Provide administrative support to the management when required
• Maintain and file records of all transactions meticulously
• Operate accounting software systems and tools such as ADP - Financial Services and Opera to perform various accounting functions
• Handle cash activity and check processing tasks efficiently
• Perform billing functions and manage accounts receivable (AR) effectively
Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk role or similar position
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services
• Demonstrated ability to perform Accounting Functions and manage Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Billing Functions, Cash Activity, and Check Processing
• Proficiency in using Opera accounting system
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field would be advantageous but not mandatory
