As Business Developer for Infrastructure (Water/Waste Water, Tunnel, etc.) you are the first to leave a footprint in new markets and drive innovation in sales.
Your mission is to explore new and adjacent markets for automation and software products. Understand the challenges of potential customers in emerging automation markets and develop solutions, based on our existing but also future portfolio, to meet those challenges ahead. The objective is not only to win new lighthouse customers but to understand how new markets work, evaluate the business potential and develop a sales strategy for our growing Middle East & Africa region.
Close collaboration with all internal parties within our regional companies is of essence to win new customers and explore new markets. Enabling our sales organization to sell our innovative future portfolio is of essence to continue being successful in the future. Understand the challenges, work together with regional sales colleagues, and develop a strategy for sales enablement is another part of the role.
What is the role about ?
Since we are now expanding our Middle East & Africa HQ (Headquarter) team at our Factory Automation Sales department, we are looking for a Business Developer to join us, preferably in Istanbul, Tuerkiye.
As a team we are supporting the regional colleagues in the UAE , South Africa, Tuerkiye and other assigned countries. In this HQ function you have a unique opportunity to work closely together with other HQ colleagues e.g. Regional Management, Product Management, Marketing & Promotion, System Support, Global Vertical and Horizontal Management and in other central functions in Nuremberg, Germany and around the world.
What part will you play?
In your new role you will be responsible for the business development of customers in infrastructure related projects (Water & Waste Water, Tunnels, etc.) with our comprehensive product portfolio and Digitalization offerings.
This includes driving strategic account planning (account development plans, sales slides, country concepts, business plans, etc.) together with the sales regions.
· Adapt and implement vertical & horizontal strategy regarding infrastructure related projects
You will also coordinate Infrastructure projects in close collaboration with sales departments, regions and the involved business units. You will act as the key interface to several collaborators.
Additionally, you will prepare internal and external presentations, build success stories, and ensure the quality and completeness of reporting.
· Support to orchestrate Push/Pull at End Customers and related SIs, EPCs and Planners within the Vertical Eco-system in close collaboration with related sales channels in the region
You overtake the responsibility for tracking and analyzing data gathered from Infrastructure projects and will help to drive the continuous improvement process for corresponding activities.
You will also analyse market requirements and trends of the Infrastructure industry and use them to formulate specific product/system requirements with the appropriate business units.
What you need to make real what matters.
The foundation for your success is a completed technical degree, preferably inElectronics Engineering or Computer Science related.
You have min 5 years of professional experience in a technical and sales-related function, ideally with regular contact to customers. Experience in a Infrastructure related industry is a plus!
You are experienced in coordinating crossfunctional international teams, and have intercultural skills to deliver results in a multi-cultural environment.
You have experience with Factory Automation & Digitalization and understand the corresponding technologies and trends; from OT to IT. Experience with the respective Siemens Digital Industries Portfolio would be a plus (for PLCs, MOM, PLM, Simulation, etc.)
You enjoy networking, bring along strong communication and analytical skills, and are a team player.
Due to the highly international nature of this job, you are proficient in English and are available to travel.
You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes. You also want to develop (personally and professionally) and contribute to shaping a new and dynamic environment.
