Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops by loading grain out of bins, sweeping, cleaning; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment including carrying and laying polypipe; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) combine, grain cart, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as soybeans, corn; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers; Speak and understand English.
