Landscapes Unlimited, LLC one of the country's premier golf course and recreational development firms has several employment opportunities for Irrigation Technicians in the Hutchinson area. Positions are temporary and will involve golf course renovation work. Opportunities for regular full-time employment may develop, but current positions will be offered as temporary assignments.

Irrigation Technician
Performs a variety of assigned technical irrigation tasks and mechanized equipment operation; provides technical direction and leadership to crews assigned to specific irrigation tasks; oversees, inspects and approves work activities of assigned crews; and assists with training work crews in the performance of golf course or sports field irrigation tasks.
Responsibilities
Completes assigned tasks such as staking and layout, HDPE pipe fusion and or PVC, controller programming, wiring and mainline and lateral line installation; assists in training employees.
Works without supervision on certain tasks; may supervise a crew of 2 – 10 employees.
Verifies through inspection that assigned tasks are executed by crew according to quality standards; ensures compliance with Company and project safety requirements.
Operates rubber tire mechanized equipment such as tractors, wagons, and utility vehicles.
Assists in managing inventory of equipment, supplies, and materials.
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of golf course and/or sports field irrigation tasks and ability to apply principles in managing work.
Knowledge of and ability to apply principles of project schedule and specification requirements.
Ability to perform staking and layout, HDPE pipe fusion and or PVC, installation of controllers, mainline, laterals and pump station and equipment operation.
Ability to train project staff on golf course and sports field irrigation tasks, including pipe fusion and equipment operation and maintenance.
Knowledge of golf course or sports field building materials; and the ability to apply knowledge of materials to irrigation installation or maintenance tasks.
Experience
One year experience in golf course construction or golf course maintenance with an emphasis on irrigation system installation, repair and maintenance; commercial irrigation experience will be considered.
Experience operating rubber tire equipment such as tractors, wagons, and utility vehicles; will work in trainee capacity with trenchers/pullers and excavators.
Requires certification in HDPE pipe fusion; butt-fusion, electro-fusion, and sidewall-fusion, within first six months in position.
