Bensonwood Homes Structural Engineer (EIT) in Keene, New Hampshire

As a Structural Engineer (EIT) on our team you will be responsible for upholding our engineering standards for our sustainable residential and commercial structures.

Position Summary

  • Participate in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings and/or supervise the production of these drawings.

  • Attend site visits with clients, architects, and subcontractors.

  • Conduct engineering investigations and planning work including the collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.

  • While our principle structural medium is wood, both solid-sawn and engineered timber, you will also be responsible for the engineering of concrete, steel and other building materials as needed for our projects.

  • Work with our in-house design team, as well as outside architects.

  • Perform engineering calculations.

  • Perform field observations of construction where appropriate.

    Qualifications

  • BS/MS in related Engineering Field

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Structural/Architectural Engineer

  • Experienced in CAD programs

  • Expertise in sustainable design and building.

  • Expertise in providing consultative style service.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Positive, team player that thrives in a fast-moving environment.

    Compensation & Benefits
