Description
Robert Half is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to manage and oversee all aspects of the contract lifecycle for our client in Orange County. This role ensures compliance with legal standards, supports procurement and vendor management processes, and facilitates effective communication between departments to optimize contract operations. The Contracts Administrator will play a vital role in mitigating risks, maintaining contractual integrity, and ensuring smooth workflows within the healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management:
Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, amendments, and agreements with vendors, service providers, and stakeholders in compliance with healthcare industry standards.
Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including renewals, terminations, and updates to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Risk Assessment:
Analyze contracts to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect the organization’s interests.
Ensure all contracts align with applicable regulations and healthcare laws, including HIPAA and other compliance requirements.
Coordination and Communication:
Serve as the primary liaison between legal, procurement, and operational departments to address contract-related queries or disputes.
Collaborate with department leads to ensure contract terms align with organizational goals.
Process Improvement:
Develop and streamline contract management procedures, including templates and filing systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Identify and address skills gaps, such as eDiscovery and e-filing, through reskilling and upskilling initiatives.
Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all contracts, ensuring accessibility and compliance with audit requirements.
Monitor contract deliverables, timelines, and vendor performance to sustain accountability and quality standards.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Law, or a related field; healthcare industry experience preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in contract administration, compliance management, and risk mitigation within healthcare or legal industries.
Proficient understanding of healthcare regulations and data security laws.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in contract management software and tools is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss contract terms with internal and external stakeholders.
Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address contract disputes and risks effectively.
Familiarity with contract workflow automation systems and healthcare procurement processes.
