The engineer would be responsible to oversee Minuteman & Peacekeeper motor processing activities at Hill AFB, UT. Other responsibilities include support to launch program activities and providing engineering support for Minuteman and Peacekeeper transportation and handling equipment, and depot support equipment.
Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support for the refurbishment of Minuteman and Peacekeeper rocket motors for the various RSLP programs and ensure that all technical and program requirements are met.
Provide support for RSLP owned Transportation and Handling (T&H) equipment and related issues.
Provide engineering support for Depot Support Equipment repairs and test set replacement programs.
Periodic travel to Government and contractor facilities required.
Requirements:
Must have strong communication and presentation skills and demonstrated ability to work with contractor and government counterparts.
Demonstrated high initiative, proactive, low-maintenance, self-starter required.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) to perform technical writing, editing, and document formatting.
Desired:
Experience with solid rocket motors and some knowledge of the Peacekeeper and Minuteman missile systems.
Knowledge of Peacekeeper and/or Minuteman transportation and handling equipment
Knowledge of solid rocket motor test equipment.
Experience with drafting and drawing generation.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors of Science degree, preferably in an engineering discipline.
Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance Required.
