Asset Care Improvement Lead
12-month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Cameronbridge Distillery

Join our Cameronbridge Distillery which is the largest grain distillery in Scotland and contributes single grain whisky to some of our much-loved Scotch brands including Johnnie Walker and produces white spirits including Smirnoff, Gordon's Gin and Tanqueray.
The Bio-energy plant at the Cameronbridge distillery is the first distillery in the world to combine biomass combustion, anaerobic digestion and water recovery and has a major contribution to the delivery of Diageo’s Society 2030 ambitions including supporting the global sustainability agenda among other vital goals.
About the Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Asset Care Improvement Lead will be an integral part of the Asset Care team helping to develop and coach cultural change while implementing the Site Asset Care Strategy across the Site.
Working with teams to deliver Engineering functional expertise across the area/site and support the operational team to resolve complex equipment problems. Proactive in leading performance analysis to drive improvement and address any adverse performance trends. Functional Partner to the Packaging Team Leaders, Maintenance Support Leaders and Maintenance Reliability Leaders well practiced in the tools and methodologies to apply.
Some of the Key Accountabilities are
Provide mentorship and support to Packaging Team Leaders/Reliability Leads/Maintenance Support Leads for effective and aligned implementation of Manufacturing Excellence Systems (MMS).
Actively develop, promote and drive the implementation of MMS tools and techniques to the agreed line/area/shift plans.
Analyses loss & waste, validate data and provide clear strategy to prioritise and drive improvements with partners.
Participate, lead, sponsor & mentor ongoing prioritised improvement projects using the DMAIC methodology.
Coordinate and effectively deliver training and mentor of MMS practices.
Lead the line/area/shift teams in their deployment of MMS through their regular meetings and their communication of activities.
Engage with the Daily & Weekly Operational Review meetings to provide expert analysis of performance improvement opportunities.
We’d love to hear if you have
Proven experience in a process environment or similar with a consistent track record in leading people and/or small teams, projects and cross-functional team working.
A consistent record of utilising manufacturing excellence tools and techniques such as 5S, set up time reduction, Lean six sigma, Asset Care and DMAIC improvement techniques.
HNC level qualification in engineering or equivalent experience.
NEBOSH qualification or willing to work towards.
Mentorship Experience.
Intermediate project management skills.
Ability to interpret and analyse extensive data sources to identify loss and waste, cost saving opportunities and trends.
Knowledge of Reliability Maintenance techniques and data analysis, use of applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and business systems.
Experience in Yellow Belt six sigma / Train the trainer (desirable)
