We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant for industry-leading client in the Louisville, KY market. The Financial Reporting Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by reconciling and validating account balances.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for financial reporting.

Compliance:

  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and documentation.

Analysis:

  • Conduct variance analysis to explain fluctuations in financial statements and provide insights to management.

  • Perform financial reviews and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Audit Support:

  • Support external auditors during the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations.

  • Implement recommendations from audit findings to enhance internal controls.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.

  • Streamline reporting procedures and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. CPA certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis.

  • Experience in a public accounting firm is desirable.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

Communication:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders.

Team Player:

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and establish positive working relationships.

Adaptability:

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
