Job Summary

Responsible for managing regional security and implementing and monitoring compliance with standard operating procedures related to business continuity planning, loss prevention, fraud prevention, privacy, and the safety and security of employees and visitors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of CEVA’s security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures in field locations to ensure ongoing maintenance of security and compliance with regulatory and voluntarily enjoined programs.

  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies.

  • Conduct investigations that involve thefts or suspected thefts, significant violations of law, security related incidents involving employees, information security breaches, threats of violence to workforce, significant product count variances, risks across business groups, undercover investigations and other highly sensitive matters involving CEVA’s workforce and assets.

  • Coordinate investigations as appropriate with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

  • Manage and monitor an investigation until a full resolution is reached.

  • Report all losses verbally and through detailed written reports.

  • Ensure incident reports and other required information is entered into the corporate database.

  • Conduct security audits as necessary and in compliance with the corporate security auditing policy.

  • Work with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security audits.

  • Perform security risk assessments based on vulnerability criteria to determine appropriate levels of protection.

  • Travel to field locations to conduct investigations as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with managers to resolve issues involving their stations; and to improve overall security effectiveness in targeted areas.

  • Conduct security training and on-site training for identified incidents to prevent further losses.

  • Facilitates and promotes activities to create security awareness within the organization.

  • Establish and maintain a rapport with client security managers.

  • Ensure surveillance systems, security systems and alarms in field locations are maintained and operational.

  • Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, security, criminal justice or a related field preferred; or, combination of education and work experience in a similar role.

  • Minimum five (5) years experience in security management preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional) preferred or other related certifications or licenses.

Languages and Communication Skills

  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively communicate security related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.

Travel Requirements

Travel is required at least 60% of the time in this position. Travel identified is approximately 100% domestic (within the United States) and approximately 0% international (outside of the United States).

Working Conditions

Work is generally performed within an office, stockroom, and/or warehouse environment with standard office equipment available and adequate lighting. Warehouse environment includes exposure to high noise, moving machinery and/or vehicles, dust and warm temperatures, and working closely with others.   • Strong knowledge and understanding of business, financial terms and budgeting practices to support capital projects and operating cost reduction strategies.

  • Possesses minimum 5 years of experience in project management, design and/or maintaining physical security systems. Lenel On-Guard familiarity a plus.

  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of CCTV systems, intrusion detection systems, and access control systems.

  • Knowledge of IT network infrastructure including basic hardware and network functionality.

  • Thorough understanding of the specialized physical security needs of clinical and health care facilities and their associated business offices.

  • A demonstrated strong track record of leadership with strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, pay close attention to detail, be well organized, and work successfully in a fast paced environment.

  • Continually works to solve problems and improve processes. Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • CAD certification or experience required

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use both hands, is frequently required to stand, sit, stoop, talk and hear (communicate verbally in person and via regular telephone equipment), and must be able to read computer screens, correspondence and reports in English.

  • The employee must constantly walk, stand, reach with both hands and arms, and must be able to drive a vehicle. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May be required to climb stairs on an intermittent basis at client sites.
